Field trip to Crewest gallery
and talk by artist Man One

Park Studio students met artist Man One at Crewest, his Downtown Los Angeles gallery space. Man One described the evolution of his career from marginal street artist to international muralist and graffiti artist.

Man One + Crewest Gallery

Man One began his artistic journey on the streets of Los Angeles tagging and leaving his trademark of bold, colorful aerosol strokes and has been involved with the Graffiti Art movement of Southern California since 1987. He completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Loyola Marymount University. He continued his passion for graffiti and work to advocate for more acceptance of the art form. Today, this artwork has been showcased in many local and international group and solo shows and at museums including the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Man One's commissioned murals and design concepts have been for MTV, Coca-Cola, Adidas, Sony, as well as scenography for feature films and music videos. His artwork has also appeared such magazines as Backspin (Germany), Rap Pages, Airbrush Action, New York Magazine, and Aelle (Italy).

Crewest Gallery is located in the gallery row district of downtown Los Angeles.
