Student work created with the help of artists Barbara Carrasco and Robbie Conal was transferred onto screens. Students then worked with HIT+RUN, a screenprinting artists collective, at their studio in downtown Los Angeles. Founder Mike Crivello introduced the basics of screenprinting. Together with the HIT+RUN crew, original prints on
T-shirts and paper were made for the exhibition A Mighty Message.
HIT+RUN
HIT+RUN was created in 2005 by artists Brandy Flower and Mike Crivello as a result of the contagious enthusiasm they witnessed at small silkscreening parties in their homes. HIT+RUN’s live T-shirt screenprinting events quickly grew and are now featured at major music festivals, museums, and a variety of happenings around the world.
